Vacys Urniezius Peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2000, Vacys (Bill), age 83 years, beloved husband of Helen passed away at the Central Park Lodge, 70 Poseidon Bay. Vacys was born June 25, 1917 in Lithuania and immigrated to Canada in 1950. He was employed for 25 years with Boise Cascade as a lumberer. He was involved with the Lithuanian Club in Winnipeg and was a member of St. Casimers Church, where he was involved with the Lithuanian Pavillion. Besides his wife Helen, he is survived by his children, Raymond (Susan), Sonia (Stan), Leonard (Cheryl) and Daniel (Silvia), 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will beheld on Saturday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Private family interment at Waverley Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Linda and Noreen for taking such good care of Bill over the last three years.
